Why is it while many of us profess to love or at least look forward to Christmas — if for no other reason than a break in routine and work — it brings out the worst?
If it’s not grumpy, tired consumers having to deal with overcrowded aisles, overexcited or misbehaving, tantrum-throwing children, and stressed, impatient fellow-shoppers on the brink, it’s paid (sometimes poorly) staff copping abuse while trying to do their job.
