The SDA’s Young Workmate of the Year Awards celebrate our hard-working, dedicated, reliable younger workers – those who give 100% in the workplace. The awards are open to all younger workers, aged 25 and under, who work in retail, fast-food and a range of other industries.

Who can win?

Do you know someone who has given 100% at work this year? We want to hear about it!

We’re looking for workers 25 years and under who:

1. Give 100% at work

2. Are great to work with

3. Give their workmates 100% support

4. Make the workplace a better place.

Last year’s winners included young workers like Sarah from Qld (nicknamed Smiley by her workmates), who won $500 for being an extremely versatile workmate and the first person to volunteer for any task.

The voting process

Who will be crowned the SDA Young Workmate of the Year?

Vote for the young worker you think deserves the title of Young Workmate of the Year.

Click ‘vote’ under their story and they’ll go in the running to win $500 for themselves.

The ultimate ‘Young Workmate of the Year’ winners for each SDA State Branch will be decided by an SDA panel based on the quality of their nomination and the following nominee attributes and factors:

• Dedication to their job

• Ability to work in a team

• Commitment to improving their workplace

• Their popular vote
